Ihor Lisnyi is an art manager and promoter of Petrykivka painting.
Born in 1993, he grew up in the village of Petrykivka and is deeply familiar with its painting traditions, personally acquainted with its leading masters. He studied painting at a children’s art school and still occasionally paints today.
Since 2010, Ihor has been actively promoting Petrykivka painting through media projects aimed at a wider audience. It started with a LiveJournal blog, followed by a free annual painting calendar, the “Petrykivka” page on Facebook, an online gallery, and later this very website, created with his support.
In his projects, Ihor aims to show viewers traditional Petrykivka painting, its many applications, and the uniqueness of each master — choosing examples that truly resonate. At the same time, he believes Petrykivka painting is also a contemporary art form capable of easily integrating into everyday life when presented the right way, and he works to make it a true artistic calling card of Ukraine on the world stage.
