Artistic Practice
Hanna Isaieva is a “transitional type” of artist: she did not study directly at Tetiana Pata’s school, but developed creatively alongside her, absorbing the spirit and techniques of the Petrykivka tradition. She made decorative panels with egg tempera, painted jewelry boxes and decorative plates.
Her artistic style is characterized by symmetry in the construction of ornamental compositions, clear drawing and contrasting combination of primary and secondary spectral colors. She developed the traditions of folk house painting, keeping in touch with the primary sources of Petrykivka ornamentation.
