The Museum of the History of Petrykivka Painting and Folk Crafts was founded by the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council and is already actively operating: it runs guided tours, workshops, exhibitions, and other events related to Petrykivka painting, even though its own museum building is still under construction.

Construction of the museum complex

The Capital Construction Department of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration began construction of a museum complex in the central park of Petrykivka. The project includes a two-story exhibition building with an estimated area of 1,443 sq. m, as well as a comprehensive redevelopment of the surrounding park area: a sports ground, a “singing field,” landscaped green zones, walking paths and access roads designed with accessibility for people with disabilities and limited mobility in mind.

Until construction is complete, the museum continues its work and cooperates closely with other institutions of the Petrykivka area, in particular the Municipal Enterprise “Center of Folk Crafts of Petrykivka Region” of the Petrykivka Settlement Council — the two institutions share a common team of specialists dedicated to preserving and promoting Petrykivka painting.
