Mariia Ianenko
Biography
Mariia Ilyna Yanenko (maiden name Statyva) was born on September 9, 1962 in the village of Mala Petrykivka, Petrykivka district, Dnipropetrovska oblast. She received her primary art education at the Petrykivka Children’s Art School named after Tetiana Pata, where she studied under the guidance of Fedir Panko. Later she continued her studies at the Dnipro State Art School (teacher - V. Shpyhanovych).
She works at the Petrykivka Folk Art Center. She comes from the Statyva family - the sister of Valentyna Deka, Lidiia Bulavin, and Nataliia Statyva-Zharko.
Artistic Practice
Works in the traditional Petrykivka style, creating decorative paintings on paper. Among his works is the composition “Firebirds with Flowers”, which was included in the calendar “Magic Birds” (2018).
Recognition
Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. Participant in numerous regional, national and international exhibitions, including personal ones. Her works are kept in the Dnipro Art Museum, Dnipro National Historical Museum named after D. Yavornytskyi, National Museum of Ukrainian Folk Decorative Art (Kyiv), as well as in private collections in Ukraine and abroad.
