Galyna Nazarenko works at the crossing of two languages within Petrykivka painting: the traditional ornamental idiom passed down from Pata, and a freer, personal manner where a flower can become a sun and a horse a constellation.
This selection brings together works from different periods — from restrained compositions following classical canon to later, almost abstract pieces such as “Yin and Yang.” Here are recognizable motifs of the craft — a horse among flowers, narcissi, a rooster, sunflowers — filtered through the artist’s own hand.
